Industry Work & Experience
During the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic I have been lucky enough to work on some COVID secure events. These events included:
- Wild Fields Festival: A socially distanced festival in the heart of Norfolk showcasing live music from a range genres and styles on 13 & 14 September 2020. I mixed monitors all weekend using equipment from Allen & Heath, Logic Systems, and more. I worked with a stage crew of essential staff only to setup 24+ channel patches in short time constraints as well as a COVID safe cleaning station for equipment.
- The Drive In Experience: In August 2020 I worked with Epic Studios and Out of Space Events to put on a weekend of live events and movies viewed from audience members in their cars. Broadcast via Epic Studios' OB Trucks to FM Radio, my role for the events was to mix monitors and make the broadcast come together. Over this weekend I worked with a range of equipment from Yamaha, DiGiCo, Martin Audio and more.
- MMA Contenders: I worked again with Epic studios in August 2020 to put together a drive in & socially distanced version of Mixed Martial Arts Contenders; this was a world first for the event of its kind, and again we made use of Epic Studios' OB trucks to broadcast the audio and video to FM and international internet television.
During the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic I have been lucky enough to take on regular freelance location recording work with Wordplay Magazine at a range of sites. This job includes me supplying recording equipment, microphones and the necessary cabling to capture accurate recordings of performers from singer songwriters, full bands, and more, as well as drive monitoring systems for these sessions too.
